The fact that God is Love, applies to every faith and religion. For Christians, He died for our sins. For Muslims, He provided His last prophet the Quran. For Atheists, He (science and nature) is able to provide all of the elements and sustain human life.
Oftentimes, when we're told of "God", we're told of punishment and eternal lava. However, even in the Bible - although the Bible does mention that type of stuff - Jesus said, "I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world."
Again, yes, I do understand most religious teachings have "punishment", but listen, life itself has consequences, does it not? Even if you wrote a book as an Atheist, about nature and science, there'd be consequences to certain actions you should not do.
Therefore, we learn what not to do, to enjoy what to do, because, God is Love, and He provides joy and rest.
